Osteopathic techniques

Osteopaths use a wide range of gentle manipulations depending on your age, fitness and diagnosis. Treatment is different for every patient but may include techniques such as different types of soft tissue massage, joint articulation and manipulation to release tension, stretch muscles, help relieve pain and mobilise joints.

Your posture will be assessed and you will be given guidance and advice on good body use.

You may also be given exercises to help you maintain the benefits gained from treatment and hopefully prevent future strains and injuries.

Cranial Osteopathy

Cranial Osteopathy is a subtle type of osteopathic treatment that uses very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage changes throughout the body. Osteopaths use their highly trained palpatory skills to detect areas of tension or restriction in the head and body and to release them in order to restore balance.

This type of treatment is suitable for all, including babies to the very elderly as it is extremely gentle.
